2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you use the App, you may provide the following types of information:
Voice and audio input you speak into the microphone for translation purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 To Provide Translation Services
Voice recordings are processed in real time to generate spoken and written translations. Audio data is transmitted to our translation servers, converted to text, translated into the target language, and returned to your device. Audio data is not stored on our servers after the translation response is delivered.
3.2 To Process Camera and Image Translations
Images you capture through the camera feature are processed using optical character recognition (OCR) technology to extract text and generate translations. Images are processed in real time and are not retained on our servers after the translation is returned to your device.
3.3 To Improve the App
Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be analyzed to identify performance issues, improve accuracy, and develop new features. This data does not identify individual users.
3.4 To Ensure Security and Prevent Abuse
Technical data including device identifiers and usage patterns may be used to detect fraudulent activity, prevent abuse of the service, and maintain the security and integrity of the App.
4. App Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions to function. Each permission is used only for the stated purpose:
4.1 Microphone
Required to capture your voice for voice translation and real-time conversation translation. The microphone is activated only when you initiate a translation session. The App does not record audio in the background.
4.2 Camera
Required to capture images for camera-based and image translation features. The camera is activated only when you open the image translation feature. Photos are not saved to your device gallery unless you choose to save them.
4.3 Internet Access
Required to transmit audio and image data to our translation servers and receive translated responses. Some basic translation functions may operate offline if offline language packs are downloaded.
4.4 Storage (Optional)
Requested only if you choose to save translated text, conversations, or images to your device. The App does not access files unrelated to translation activity.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
5.1 Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating our translation infrastructure, analytics, and crash reporting systems. These providers are contractually obligated to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify. They are not permitted to use your data for their own commercial purposes.
5.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required to do so by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of users or the public.
5.3 Business Transfers

6. Data Retention
Voice audio and images processed for translation are not retained on our servers after the translation response is delivered to your device. Translation session logs used for debugging and performance monitoring are retained for a maximum of 30 days before being deleted. Anonymized and aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify individual users may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
You may delete locally saved translation history from within the App settings at any time. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Access to our servers and databases is restricted to authorized personnel only.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately using the contact details in Section 13 and we will take steps to remove that information.
In jurisdictions where the age of digital consent is higher (for example, 16 in certain European Union member states), we apply the applicable local age threshold.
